Plan the Perfect Vision Board Party Night!

Did you know that when we set clear intentions, our goals are more likely to become a reality? Neuroscience backs this up! Our brains have a reticular activating system (RAS) that helps us focus on what matters. When we create a vision board, we’re essentially programming our RAS to notice opportunities and align our actions with our dreams. How amazing is that? As moms, we’re always juggling so much, but a vision board can help us stay intentional about the life we want for ourselves and our families.

So, why not turn this powerful practice into a fun bonding experience with your besties? A vision board party is the perfect way to reflect on the past year and decide what habits, behaviors, and mindsets you want to bring with you into 2025 — and which ones you’re ready to leave behind. It’s time to set the stage for your best year yet!

Step 1: Reflect on Your Goals

Kick off your vision board party by writing down your goals in a few key categories:

  • Wealth/Work
  • Health
  • Habits
  • Activities
  • Affirmations
  • Relationships

Here are some examples to get you started:

  • Wealth/Work: Get a promotion, start a side hustle, save $5,000, pay off a credit card, or set better work-life boundaries.
  • Health: Exercise three times a week, drink more water, prioritize sleep, try yoga, or eat more whole foods.
  • Habits: Start a gratitude journal, wake up earlier, read one book a month, or spend less time on social media.
  • Activities: Plan a family vacation, take a cooking class, join a local mom’s group, or try a new hobby.
  • Affirmations: “I am capable,” “I deserve rest and joy,” “I can handle challenges,” or “I am worthy of my dreams.”
  • Relationships: Spend more quality time with your kids, schedule monthly date nights, connect with an old friend, or set boundaries with toxic relationships.

Choose a few things you want to work on in each category. This will give you a clear roadmap for finding the perfect quotes and pictures to add to your vision board. It’s also a great way to get clarity on what matters most to you as you head into the new year.

Step 2: Let Go of What No Longer Serves You

Before diving into creating your vision board, take a moment to release anything you don’t want to carry into 2025. Provide each guest with a piece of paper and invite them to write down things they’re ready to let go of. Here are some examples:

  • Burnout
  • Overworking
  • Not choosing rest when needed
  • Living in a state of stress
  • People-pleasing
  • Not setting good boundaries
  • Negative self-talk

Once everyone has finished, take turns sharing your lists with the group. Then, tear up those papers to symbolically show that these habits, beliefs, or behaviors are not coming with you into the new year. It’s a powerful and freeing moment to share with your friends!

Step 3: Get Creative with Your Vision Boards

Now the fun begins! Break out the supplies and let everyone’s creativity shine. CLICK HERE  for my amazon store to shop all the items below.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 13×19 Frames
  • 14×22 White Poster Board
  • Elmer’s Glue Sticks
  • Vision Board Books
  • Scissors (We told everybody to bring their own pair form home)
  • Sparkly umber stickers (optional)

While magazines can work, vision board books are so much better. They’re curated specifically for this type of craft and have enough material to last for a couple of years. It’s a worthwhile investment for your party — and your dreams!

  • Sour cream
  • Guacamole
  • Salsa

Pro tip: Add some festive drinks like mocktails, margaritas, or sparkling water for a fun touch!

Hosting a vision board party is not just about setting goals — it’s about creating meaningful memories with your friends and empowering each other to dream big. Let’s make 2025 our best year yet, one vision board at a time. Below is my board for 2025!

Now hang this somewhere in your house where you will see it ALL the time like your bathroom, next to your bed or even in your laundry room since we all know us mamas spend WAY to much time in the laundry room.
